Hi, I'm Demetra. I've been singing for over 35 years, as early as I can remember. I've been a singer in a band, with instruments or a cappella, in front of audiences or just for myself. Singing is a gift we give to ourselves and to others when we feel confident enough to share it.

That's how Songbird began. I had been asked to teach people to sing many times over the last fifteen years and every time I took on a new student, they amazed me with their growth and led me to believe that anyone can be a singer if they are brave enough to start putting in the work and honing their unique sound. I have heard it with my own ears enough to know; we all have voices worth building and celebrating.

My love of singing and keeping a growth mindset has led me to learn from as many teachers and musical styles as I can, from opera to pop, gospel to rock. As a trained vocalist, I personally know how helpful private lessons can be to find out what your voice is made to do. I'm proud to offer those lessons to aspiring singers who are ready to step into their vocal power.
